Knolls of Oxford Phase I, OXFORD, OH
Construction Management and Engineering Services

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CHALLENGE
Viox provided construction management and engineering services as the Construction Manager for Phase I of The Knolls of Oxford. Phase I was comprised of 153,000-square-feet of 32 two- and three-unit cottages, a 6,000-square-foot community center and a 4,000-square-foot maintenance building. The City of Oxford's existing water system could not supply adequate water pressure for the influx of so many new residents.
EMCOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS
Viox, LifeSphere and the construction engineering design team worked together to design and install a new water system, including water booster pumps that helped maintain adequate pressure and also allowed for the installation of sprinkler systems in the independent cottages.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES RESULTS
Successful construction completion of Phase I of a retirement community with satisfied residents.
"We moved to the Knolls to plan for our future and to simplify our life by eliminating the maintenance of a large home and yard. We watched LifeSphere and Viox develop the Knolls from a single path through a pasture to a lovely development of streets and paths with spacious cottages constructed with aging in mind. Viox has been interested and willing to make design modifications and adjustments according to the pioneer resident's practical suggestions for easier liveability. We are also very impressed by the quality of the materials and the work underneath the beautiful final product. We are pleased and proud to show off our new home and to share our appreciation of LifeSphere and Viox."
