CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CHALLENGE

One of the primary challenges facing Viox’ construction management and planning was the fast-approaching cold weather in late 2002. "We wanted to have the structure enclosed before winter," said Viox Services General Manager Phillip O'Brien.

EMCOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

Viox put all bid packages on a fast track. As soon as each construction contract was approved, the construction engineering contractors started working. Viox looked for larger, superior construction contractors who could appropriately staff the project.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES RESULTS

Viox Services successfully constructed Phase II of The Knolls of Oxford, a comprehensive continuing care retirement community owned by LifeSphere, situated on 75 acres west of Oxford, OH.

The second of the three-phase construction project included a 170,000-square-foot facility for administrative offices and food service, a nursing home and assisted living and dependent apartments. Completion occurred in the fall of 2003. Viox served as construction manager providing construction management and engineering services during Phase I and Phase II.

"LifeSphere has enjoyed having a 15-year business relationship with Viox and we are especially proud to have the Viox team providing construction management services at The Knolls of Oxford project."
