To meet its goals, this client outsourced its engineering and facility maintenance operations, including management of its facilities, warehouse, telecommunications center, and subcontractors, to Viox Services. This strategy allowed implementation of a “flow-to-the-work” staffing philosophy, permitting personnel multi-crafting and increasing productivity. The result was a reduction in headcount from 13 to 8 engineering and facilities technicians, all of whom were moved onto Viox’s payroll. Furthermore, if building maintenance demands increase, Viox can provide flexible resources, enabling the client to transition from a fixed- to a variable-cost staffing model. Overall, by outsourcing its facilities management and building operations to Viox Services, the client achieved annual cost savings of $164,541.
