Challenge
After hiring an accomplished architectural firm to design the Life Enriching Gardens, Maple Knoll faced two significant challenges in completing the project:
- Cost: Bringing the complex features of three distinct gardens to life would prove to be a demand on the remaining budget.
- Schedule: With winter weather and spring rains standing in the way of the April dedication ceremony, an accelerated timeline became absolutely essential for completing the project.
Solution
Viox landscape professionals assumed the role of project liaison between Maple Knoll and the architectural firm. Applying landscape design and construction experience, Viox created a solution that worked within the allowed budget and timeframe.
Result
Founded in 1848, Maple Knoll Village, a property of LifeSphere, is a long-term care community situated on 54 acres in Cincinnati, Ohio. The sights, sounds and human interactions of nature are integrated into daily therapies and experiences available to residents through Maple Knoll's Life Enriching Gardens.
