Challenge
The site was surrounded by a virgin forest. Therefore controlling and minimizing disruption to the natural landscape was crucial to providing aesthetic appeal and maintaining ecological balance.
Special circumstances surrounding sewers and sanitary lines required reworking previous sewer lines at the property line near the city distribution system and creating a lift station to push sanitary waste 2,000 lineal feet to an existing sanitary system.
Result
Viox served as the Construction Manager to construct seven patio homes containing 32 units, within 49,000-square-feet. Site work consisted of cutting approximately 80,000 cubic yards of dirt and shale, lowering the future elevation by 25 feet from its previous elevation. Additionally, a park was constructed to include a children's play area and gazebo to serve as a common gathering place for the residents.
